Biography

I currently work on longevity. I created and host Longevity World Cup, a competition to reverse biological aging, and I host Immortal Combat, a podcast about longevity.

Previously, I worked on Bitcoin privacy. I created Wasabi Wallet, a Bitcoin wallet focused on privacy, and ZeroLink, the framework behind its original CoinJoin implementation. I co-founded zkSNACKs in 2018 to develop Wasabi, served as its early CTO, and later led research. I left in December 2023.

I co-authored WabiSabi, the protocol used in Wasabi 2.0, and Programming the Blockchain in C#. Forbes Hungary included me in its 2020 30 Under 30 list.

Podcasts and conversations

I host Immortal Combat, a podcast about longevity, with researchers and people working to extend healthy life. I’ve hosted it since 2024.

Start with my conversation with Annie Nosh.

Other conversations include Matt Kaeberlein and Dave Pascoe. Earlier work includes the Pursuit of Value series with Derek Mazzone and The World of Strong Privacy with David Friedman.

I also co-hosted Block Digest, a podcast about Bitcoin news and technology.

Bitcoin privacy and research

CoinJoin combines several people’s coins in one Bitcoin transaction to make ownership harder to trace. My work has covered the protocols, the wallets that use them, and what their transactions reveal on the blockchain.

zkSNACKs and Wasabi Wallet
I created Wasabi and co-founded the company that developed it. From the first release in 2018 to Wasabi 2.0 in 2022, my role moved from early development and technical leadership to privacy research.
ZeroLink
I created the framework in 2017. It sets out how a CoinJoin protocol and the surrounding wallet behavior work together to preserve privacy.
NTumbleBit
I worked with Nicolas Dorier on an independent TumbleBit implementation in 2016–2017. The NDSS paper names us as implementers and thanks me for discussions and suggestions. I also wrote the Understanding TumbleBit series.
Pay To EndPoint (P2EP)
I co-proposed this approach to collaborative Bitcoin payments in 2018 and wrote its design explanation. Sender and receiver build a transaction together, disrupting a common way of guessing who owns its inputs.
Wasabi Research Club
I helped start the public research discussions that preceded WabiSabi. The archive contains agendas, recordings, notes, and slides on CoinShuffle, SNICKER, CashFusion, anonymous credentials, and other privacy research.
Dumplings and Sake
I built Dumplings to study CoinJoin transactions on the blockchain, including new coins, remixes, change, and later consolidation. Sake explores how to split different input amounts into outputs, comparing privacy, fees, and block-space use.

More work and research, including early wallet libraries, network privacy, and ShareLock.
